A pair of brass balance scales, c. 1880, recovered from the wreck of the *Sarah Coombe* off the Lincolnshire coast in 1973; one pan slightly distorted.

Notes

Balance true to within a gram, given a fair wind and the distorted pan corrected for. Comes with a small selection of period brass weights, all of which are over-rated by approximately 4%.
